]]>During a backstage interview with The Breakfast Club (Charlamagne Tha God, Angela Yee and DJ Envy) at Power 105.1's Powerhouse event yesterday, Nicki Minaj finally weighed in on Kendrick Lamar's infamous "Control" verse, and she didn't hold back.
"I'm probably in the top five of the niggas he did mention, so go and do your motherfuckin' research," she said. "But, I also feel like he may be one of those respectful gentlemen that probably felt like, 'I don't want to say a female's name.' Or maybe he just don't think the kid is ill. But the kid knows the kid is ill, so I don't need to be on nobody's dick."
As for K.Dot's "King Of New York" claim, Minaj had this to say:
"I'm the Queen of New York; I'm the King of New York. Let me tell you why. Platinum albums," she said. "'Albums. Plural. Number one in five motherfuckin' countries, nigga. Don't play with me. You better respect my motherfuckin' gangsta, bitch. When you got an album that goes number one in Japan, the UK, Australia, America and Canada at the same motherfuckin' time, then you can speak my motherfuckin' name."

Legendary west coast rapper/producer, Warren G, has been tapped by Bronco Wine Company to become the face of their Allure Moscato.
As the brand expands into the U.S. market, the rapper will serve as the face, in an extensive marketing campaign that consists of print, broadcast, television and social media.
"Who would've known that my favorite Moscato, Allure, would ask me to be their brand partner," Warren said. "It's exciting to be in the wine business and I know we can bring a lot of pleasure to our consuming audience. I'm looking forward to sharing my favorite pink Moscato with everyone."
"We're very pleased to be working with Warren G, who has the bright, lively style of our Allure wines, and the same belief in top quality and value," added Bronco CEO Fred Franzia. "I'm impressed by Warren G's interest in wines and I know we're going to have a big success." Bronco is the fifth largest winery in the country, and the Franzia family is the largest vineyard owner, now celebrating its 120th year in the California wine business.
The Allure Moscato line, which features two different flavors (Allure Moscato and Allure Pink Moscato), is currently available in stores and online, including retailers such as BevMo!, Whole Foods, and Vons/Safeway. For more info, visit Grappos.com.
The company previously introduced Keyshawn Johnson's XIX Cabernet Sauvignon and has several other projects in work.

Kendrick Lamar has finally spoken up regarding his recent headlining verse on Big Sean's "Control", admitting he wasn't expecting the attention it got.
"Honestly I didn't know it would be so much speculation behind it," Kendrick said during an interview with Power 106 Los Angeles. "I just wanted to rap. If anybody knows me doing music, I wanna just rap."
He also explained that the song's infamous "King of New York" line might've been taken the wrong way.
"The irony of that line is that the people that actually understood it and got it was the actual kings of New York," Kendrick said. "Me sitting down with them this past week, and them understanding that it's not about actually being the 'King' of whatever coast. It's about leaving a mark as great as Biggie, as great as Pac."
If you missed it -- you probably didn't -- Kendrick Lamar called out several rap peers on "Control," and referred to himself as the King of New York and the West Coast... as well as descendant of late rapper Tupac Shakur.
"I'm Makaveli's offspring," he raps on the song. "I'm the King of New York, King of the Coast, one hand, I juggle them both."
Since then, several New York rappers, including Raekwon and Papoose, said that Kendrick's claim was unwarranted.
